My Neighbor Necromancer

The most you have to worry about with troublesome neighbor’s is unkept lawns and intrusive noise late into the night. Those problems quickly take a backseat when your neighbor can raise the dead! That’s what Jessie, a young girl with a mischievous Flying Lizard named Bibbits and the resolve to do things her own way, finds out when she stumbles upon a cabin in the woods while looking for her wayward Bibbits. Jessie meets Cirino, a friendly hundred-year-old necromancer with a soft spot for the band Primus. Their introduction is cut short when they are ambushed by the powerful necromancer Rackus, a former friend of Cirino, who is on a mission to find the LITERAL Hand of Death. After a failed attempt to apprehend the item, Rackus quickly retreats but vows to return for the Hand of Death and obtain it by any means necessary. Now, Jessie and Cirino are unknowingly bonded together for the protection of every living person on Earth and to prevent Rackus from carrying out their evil plan.

My Neighbor Necromancer is from the mind of Dillon Gillbertson and brought to life with help from Jason Piperberg and Luca Romano. We were lucky enough to get a sneak preview of the first issue (of a 6-issue story) and were completely blow away. The creative team has tapped into a rich and expansive world of characters surrounded in drama and mystic beauty. This in one of the most exciting Kickstarter’s that we have seen in a long time. All aspects of this book seem fleshed-out and even though this book is brand new, it has a familiar quality to it and all the characters within seem purposeful and complete. The detailed and captivating art will have you entranced and eager to turn every page.

The Kickstarter is for ISSUE 1 (24 pages) of a planned 6 issues, and runs now until 7/13 with a goal of $10,000. Rewards should be fulfilled just in time for Christmas in December 2023 and we like to emphasize the artists and collaborators for the book being paid and treated fairly.
